Our Vision
Built Systems are significant participants in the Nexus of Energy – Water – Food. All buildings worldwide combined use 40% of global energy, 25% of global water, 40% of global resources and are responsible for one third of global energy related greenhouse gas emissions. As global temperatures increase, the critical integration of built and natural systems rely on the application of transformational science and technology for improving existing green building and sustainability criteria to increase resilience and their interconnectedness with adaptation, mitigation and preparedness.

Your donation helps us to educate homeowners, builders, trades and community leaders about high performance, sustainable and resilient building practices. We do this by communicating about current events locally and around the world. Also including results obtained through innovative, groundbreaking research and development. This is accomplished by building proof-of-concept projects that implement new technologies and create new means and methods of construction.

The HGA House
The Hamptons has long been considered the summer playground for the rich and famous. To many year‐round residents of Eastern Long island however, it is also home to a people with a fierce loyalty to their environment and a dedication to protecting the natural beauty that surrounds them.
When The Hamptons Green Alliance (HGA) was formed, a group of local tradesmen organized to promote sustainable design. A net‐ zero energy, carbon neutral home, was proposed to the architectural community, and many local architects began searching for a suitable project.
Over the last few years Hamptons Green Alliance has been featured in a number of print magazines, newspaper articles and publications.
